Venkat Rao

Venkat Rao is a technology leader, accessibility advocate, and the founder of Accessible Intelligence Solutions (AIS), where he helps existing and aspiring business owners shape vision, set strategy, and move from ideas to action. His work spans direction-setting, roadmapping, AI and automation, and building more inclusive, human-centered systems that help organizations operate with greater clarity, confidence, and impact.

Drawing on senior leadership experience in global technology consulting, Venkat works at the intersection of innovation, accessibility, and equity. He is known for helping leaders and teams navigate complexity, align around what matters, and make practical decisions that move their work forward.

He is also known for creating psychologically safe, high-performing environments where people can be authentic, supported, and empowered to do their best work. His leadership approach combines strategic thinking, empathy, and a deep belief that progress is strongest when it expands access rather than creating new barriers.

Since 2010, Venkat has been the voice behind the Assistive Technology Blog, where he writes about accessibility, assistive technology, and digital inclusion. Through his writing, teaching, and community work, he has helped individuals and organizations better understand how meaningful change happens when accessibility and equity are built into innovation from the start.
His work spans enterprise transformation, accessibility education, AI and low-code adoption, and community engagement, from workshops for students to training for global audiences. Venkat holds an MBA from Illinois State University, where his journey in accessibility advocacy began while working with students with disabilities.

An activist at heart and a strategist by profession, Venkat brings humor, warmth, and clarity to conversations that help people feel less intimidated and more energized about what’s possible.
